Catch up with the Revolution team and see what we’ve been reading this summer:
Ariel:
I’m currently reading A Patriot’s History of the United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen
I chose to read it because there are a lot of questions about the history of the United States, and I want to be able to answer them with clarity, and have a deeper understanding of what makes America so great.
Morris:
The Three Marriages by David Whyte
An incredibly insightful book by my favorite poet on the relationships we continually are maintaining with our loved ones, our work and ourselves.
Sarah:
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
It’s a simple read that’s more sophisticated than your typical summer romance book but not too complicated that you won’t want to pick it up! Once you finish the book, I recommend watching the series on Hulu. Although I definitely preferred the book, it was fun to see the characters come to life!
Sam:
Thinking in Bets by Annie Duke
This book has helped me really analyze the decisions I make, and it teaches important lessons about good decisions to help me make better ones in the future. Definitely worth a read!
Lily:
In The Plex by Steven Levy
Google has transformed the world of technology and has become a fixture in all of our daily lives. What makes Google, Google? If you’ve ever been curious to know the story behind your favorite search engine, this book is for you!
Summer’s not over yet!
Whether you shop at your local independent bookstore, order from Amazon, borrow from a friend, or pop into the library, pick up a book and read this month.
